The Men’s World Cup 2022 is here, and with it comes adidas’ epic ‘Family Reunion’ where football icons and Stormzy unite to celebrate the joy of the game. Carbon teamed up with TBWA Neboko x Fresh Juice and director Nina Holmgren through Smuggler for this continuation of the ‘Impossible Is Nothing’ campaign.
Designed to be watched again and again (and again!), each scene features memorable moments, players and places of the World Cup. From seamless transitions and football cereal to matte paintings created using Unreal Engine, we had a blast showcasing World Cup nostalgia and football culture for adidas.
Featuring some of the sport’s greatest talents, watch out for Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema, Achraf Hakimi, Son Heung-Min, Jude Bellingham, Pedro ‘Pedri’ González López, and Serge Gnabry, and superfan, British musician Stormzy. Bring on FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022!
